PRODUCTION NOTE:
JoJo goes on and on and carries this piece, so casting here is vital.  Also, since it’s a lot to remember, the script can be on the table where she bows and reads it.  Family reactions go from contentment to fidgeting, to weariness, to exhaustion to sleepiness and are as important to making the scene work.

THOUGHTS:
It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 4:15

If we really think about, we have a lot to be thankful for.  Problem is, we don’t really stop and think about it.  Many of the Feasts and Holidays in the Old Testament were designed for that reason: to think about God and remember all He has done for you.
1 Thessalonians 5, Paul tells his readers to give thanks in all situations.  Too much thanks never bothers God.  Too little does.  Thanking Him for the good is expected.  Thanking Him for the bad changes our perspective on our situation.

When is your time to stop and thank God?  Once a year?  Once a month?  Once a day?

THEMES:
THANKSGIVING, THANKFULNESS, PRAYER.
